2012 SIGNS REPORT

The First Signs of Competitiveness in the Americas Report (SCA) is a result of the collaboration between The Competitiveness Authorities, The Council of the Americas, and the supporting institutions of the Inter-American Competitiveness Network (RIAC). The Report was presented during the RIAC’s Annual Meeting and the VI Americas Competitiveness Forum held in Cali, Colombia, on October 24 -26, 2012.

The Report consists of two main sections, one of which provides a landscape on innovation, challenges, and opportunities in the region. The other section includes more than fifty experiences of the countries and institutions related to the 10 General Competitiveness Principles.

The experiences listed in the Report refer back to its main purpose, relevance, results and highlight concrete opportunities for collaboration that exist between Members of the RIAC. This process seeks to increase the impact of the projects in each country, to promote the transfer of skills, joint feedback, work, and mechanisms to ensure the success of the initiatives.
