The Call for Applications for the 6th Americas Competitiveness Exchange (ACE) in Canada is open now through July 7, 2016. The week-long tour will receive host over 50 key business leaders and policy makers of the Americas and the world to share knowledge and exchange best practices; identify opportunities for collaboration and enhance trade at the regional, national, and local levels. The event will take place in Southern Ontario – part of Canada’s economic heartland – from September 25th through October 1st, 2016. It will include visits to the cities of Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton, and the Niagara Region, and will focus on six different clusters: Advanced Manufacturing; ICT; Clean Tech; Life Sciences; Agri-food; and Financial Technologies.

Tomorrow will begin one of the most anticipated Regional meetings of the Americas - the Annual Meeting of the Inter-American Competitiveness Network (RIAC) 2015 - during which Ministers and leaders of competitiveness, as well as High-level corporate authorities, representatives of multilateral organizations and academics will gather to agree on a joint work plan to promote economic developement in the region for 2016-2018. The Meeting will be held in Guatemala, which served as the Chair Pro Tempore of the RIAC throughout the year 2015.

More than 25 representatives from 16 countries of the Americas arrived today in Argentina to establish contacts with economic development leaders of other countries and to generate collaboration and business alliances with strategic partners in the Province of Cordoba, Argentina. The Americas Competitiveness Exchange in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ACE), is an activity of the Inter-American Competitiveness Network (RIAC), and will take place from today, Monday 26 until Friday, October 30, 2015.

The Third Americas Competitiveness Exchange on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ACE), co-organized by the Organization of American States (OAS), concluded today in the city of Chicago, after a week-long tour of economic development sites and innovation centers in the midwestern United States. Participants included 47 ministers, deputy ministers and senior economic officials, private sector leaders, and academics from 27 countries of the Americas.
